Equitrac - Error right after installation

I'm bashing my head over this one. A new installation of Equitrac and I'm getting this error:

    eqerror.jpg

CAS service is running and machine is accessible (is the same where I'm running the Manager). Tried to access it with EQUITRAC, localhost, 127.0.0.1, the actual IP of the server... Always the same error.

Reinstalled twice, rebooting between deinstallation and reinstallation, no change.

    Help!

To be completely honest, I managed to solve this problem, but I don't remember what it was. I tried so many different things and was so hard-pressed on time that I can't recall what I did that solved this for me.

      Sorry guys...

        Was the OBDC configured correctly?

Is it a possibility that the answer is as easy as "run as administrator" on System manager? might want to check the messages log and check for 403:forbidden

Could this have been the firewall on the server?

Is the Equitrac system a Software or a Hardware system ? I have seen both. I have not played with the Hardware version.

Are you installing it on a Ricoh , HP , etc ?

If you are installing software from and SD card to the hard drive of an MFD. After installation you need to ring the customers I.T. an let them know that the EQUITRACS software needs to be configure for the server from the I.T.'s end. Otherwise you will see a no server connection system error.

Re: Equitrac - Error right after installation

Had this exact error today. 2 issues. 1st SQL did not have the CAS user assaciated (with apropriate rights) (ODBC testing determined CAS server user did not have right to the database) 2nd was the SQL server was corrupt. The EQ scripts where not run in the proper order. (windows system logs determined this)

Hope this helps someone in the future....
