Can you access the UNC path (\\pcname\sharename) from another computer on the network?

Can you write files to that path using the credentials that the machine uses?

Are you using Simple File Sharing or the advanced method?
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Can you access it the way TheOwll suggested originally?

Go to another computer and do :
        1. Click "Start"
        2. Click "Run"
        3. In the dialog box that pops up, type in the same path you are using in the copier. What happens?

You can also, take out all user names and password for this entry and type in just the computer name (\\computername) and then click the browse network button to see what happens. It should say it can't log in with the user name and password. Make sure the "Default Username and Password" has the right credentials.

        Is the folder being shared?

Does the computer have McAfee 360 installed? I have had some issues with this getting it to be able to scan.

The McAfee is probably causing your issue: it doesn't see the copier as a 'trusted' computer. Add it to the trusted list in the firewall settings and you should be alright. Have to love poorly configured security software...

Check to see if an update installed windows live ID. If it did, remove it and try scanning again. It can always be added again later. After it is removed, browse the path from the device. If it can now login using proper credentials, you should be good to scan.

Might want to consider firmware. Some of the Microsoft patches are screwing with SMB scanning.

Yep, its probably that. Go in and make an exception for the copiers IP.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.
