Ricoh IS760 Scanner difficulties

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I have recently acquired an IS 760 Scanner which is supposed to be, according to the literature, a duplex scanner yet after installing the drivers from the Ricoh website, I am unable to get the scanner to "auto duplex" any documents placed in the feeder. The unit is connected by USB cables.
I have used Adobe Acrobat as my PDF software as well as OmniPage and even though I select duplex on the interface, the system still requires me to re-insert the documents into the feeder to get the second side of the pages.

I have attempted to use both the ISIS drivers and the TWAIN drivers from the website yet it still will not scan DUPLEX.

I have found no information in the users manual for the dip switches which might resolve this issue.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

The IS760D is the one with duplex scanning.

My apologies for any confusion... the unit I have IS a IS 760 D... it IS supposed to be the duplex capable unit

Sorry, I don't have any experience with these. Maybe someone who does will chime in.
