    Windows 2008 R2 64 bit Drivers Issue from Client Side

    Dear All,
    I have a Ricoh Machine MPC 3500, i installed the PCL6 driver on Server Windows 2008 R2 64 bit OS.Printing fine.this Printer is Shared over network.when i connect this printer from the client Pc is giving some Error not proper drivers installed.even if i try to browse the compatible drivers from client pc it is not working..

    what can be the reason is there any setting on server side...

    is the client 64bit? if not under sharing on the printer properties on the server install additional 32bit drivers.

      Yeah sounds like you need the 32 bit driver installed on the server. Just add the x32 driver using Print Management or server properties no need to configure it Windows will handle the association between 64/32

        2. Sharing
        3. Additional Drivers
        4. Tick x86
        5. Ok
        6. Point to the 32Bit drivers
        7. Ok

        This will install the 32Bit drivers for your clients. You must make sure that you use the same version as the 64Bit drivers that are installed or you will get more errors when trying to complete the above.
        Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
