    Equitrac frequent annoyances

    Hi

I have several Equitrac installations that periodically have jobs displaying in print queue viewer that are older than the auto deletion time of 3 days. I have had this on Equitrac Office V4.0-4.3. Has anyone figured out what causes this issue? If you delete the EQSpool folder and recreate it they clear although so do all the other jobs! The spool folder etc are all excluded from AV scan's as per the manual.

    Any advice welcome.

Have you tried restarting the EQ DRE services under services.msc?

Try reducing the storage duration to like 4hrs & observe what happens?

    How about a server reboot?

Neither a server restart or service restart will clear the EQSpool folder. If I manually delete EQSpool and restart DRE service it recreates the folder and temporarily rectifies the issue although this is what I am trying to avoid as it flushes all unreleased jobs.

Have u tried the 2nd option that i had suggested - storage duration?

What's the longest period that the jobs hv remained on the queue?

        What r ur MFD/printer models?

Hv u tried restating the MFDs/printers to see what happens?

I doesn't actually matter what the print job storage time is set to, it intermittently happens over a period of time. This is a live large scale deployment so it's not as easy as changing this setting just to try.

The MFD's are all Ricoh kit, not sure why restarting them would have any effect on a server operation?

Once they are over the time they will remain until either the eqspool folder is deleted or they are manually removed from the database.
