    Fiery Print problem

Installing Bizhub c6500 with little fiery x3e that hangs on back of machine. Everything was working fine until disconected to move into final position in shop for customer. They went through the web browser and maybe messed with some setting and now it prints its startup page and any file sent from the controller that is preset.... the PCL Test Page, PS Test Page.. etc. But the jobs from the network go all the way through till they go from controller to machine and then just disappear. Any Ideas?

    Re: Fiery Print problem

First of all, how do you print to the device? Do you use a local printer on the computer and does it point to port 9100?

If you find that you aren't printing directly to the Fiery on port 9100, change the print driver so that it does and see what happens.

Also, have you got Command WorkStation installed on a PC? I would install that to see if the jobs are being held in the Hold queue on the Fiery.

I had an apifany after I posted in frustration. I wasnt using the Finisher before during testing. Just figured it was ok. It worked fine from the copy mode but does not work when connected and sending thru the rip. Error message from rip that "No compatible finisher is connected" it just dumps the job without printing it. I disconnected the finisher and it prints again from the Fiery. Just thought I would explain my answer for the problem for the next person coming along
