    Toshiba E28/GA1040 questions

I have a E studio 28 with the 1040 controller, and it has a soft beeping sound that changes when data is being sent. Is this normal, and can it be turned off, as it is somewhat annoying? Also, can this scan to file?
    Thanks,
    Bill

The beeping is "normal". To stop it requires a harness that has amagnet wrapped around it. It may also require a new power supply if the harness does not eliminate the noise.

To scan you need the gl-1010 controller and not the ga1040 print board.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!
