    MFP can't ping PC

I have an odd problem. I just installed a new KM MFP to a network with only 1 computer. The computer can ping the MFP & print to it, but the MFP can't ping or scan to the computer by IP address or host name. The MFP can ping the router that both are connected to, but not beyond that. Any idea what could be causing this?

    couple things I would try:

    1. Temp disable any firewall that maybe running on PC.
    2. Set machine to DHCP, let it pull address from assigned ip pool. Then if you have access to router reserve ip address machine pulled

I second the firewall suggestion. I run into this regularly. Also, If you are dealing with Win7, I believe ping is disabled by default. As in, it won't reply to pings.

X2. See it all the time. Especially with Norton Internet Security. Have to add the copier ip address as a trusted site.

KonicaMinolta or KyoceraMita? Kyocera's sometimes use a separate NIC's for scanning.
