    issue with remote desktop printing

    Hello all
I am working on an sharp dxb450p. When the customer is in the remote desktop session no sharp printer show up. All other brands do. If you change to a generic driver than it will show under remote session. My question is: Is there a way to make this work? Either by making the Sharp driver work or an HP driver that is compatible enough to work? Thanks for any advice.

Have the IT people install the driver on the RDP server.

Usually this is because a client is running a 32Bit machine and the server is a 64Bit machine which means the drivers aren't compatible. If the driver is installed on the RDS server, then this will get around your issue.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Had this the other day and TheOwl is right,
just make sure that you have the same driver installed on the client and the remote server you don't need to install the printer just make sure the same driver is on the server.
      1. login to remote server
      2. printers and faxes or devices and printers
      3. print server properties
      4. driver
      5. add

after you have done this restart the RDP session and should be all good.
