    MAC printing to Sharp MX5500

I have two MX5500's with Postscript and data security kits installed, at two different customer's locations that will not print from their MAC's. I have turned off SNMP, enabled LPD and IPP and we can at least recognize the printer now but it keeps saying "printer paused". What am I missing?

There are a few things to check on this.
    A) If you have account codes (user authentication) enabled, make sure you have a account number defaulted into the print driver on the mac.
    B) What program are you printing from? Word has had some issues. try printing from web browser and see what happens.
    C) make sure you are using the Sharp PPD driver and not a generic postscript driver.
    Hope this helps!!!

      Sharpie,
      On the Mac -
      system preferences
      printers menu
      highlight printer on the left
click "open print queue" on the right windows
      Resume printer

      hope this helps
