Konica Minolta C351 email using SSL/TLS

I have a Konica Minolta C351 that in the web interface for Email transmission setup, does not show a check box for using SSL/TLS for outgoing emails. However, the network scanning manual shows a check box to select that. Does anyone know if the addition of SSL/TLS for outgoing email was part of a phase or firmware upgrade? I can't find anywhere with Minolta that speaks of the SSL/TLS for email being added through a firmware upgrade. Thanks.

If the machine isn't running the latest firmware, then I would suggest that you update the device anyway.

As you might know, the setting should be under:

Web Interface - Admin - Network - Email Setting - Email TX (SMTP) - Use TLS/SSL

May I ask what sort of server you are using? GMail, Live, Exchange...?

If it is Exchange, then let me know as I have a way around the TLS which is builtin to the standard Receive Connector or Exchange 2007 and up.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Thanks for the reply. They are using gmail servers (used by their ISP). I saw the bulletin relating to the exchange issue. I am going to be performing a firmware upgrade, as I did discover they have pretty old firmware. I'm optimistic Thanks again.
