Network Copier and Wireless Network Could Not Work Together

I'm facing this problem with a network connected Fuji Xerox DC450. I noticed that whenever the local area connection for the copier is on, my wireless network is unable to run properly. Is there any way to make sure both network connections can run at the same time?

first, disable the wireless connecting, second connect the local area network, then lastly connect the wireless network. This is the easy way to let you to use the Network Copier and Wireless Network work together.

The another way to let the Network Copier and Wireless Network work together, is fix your computer local area network and wireless network ip address.

How do I fix their IP addresses? For the mean time, both IPs have the prefix of 192.168.x.x

Is it one router with wireless and local or 2 routers?

          Set up a wireless bridge.

It is not a wireless router. It is a external wireless adapter that detects wireless network in range.

I'm going to have a stab in the dark and ask the question, do you have the copier connected to your laptop / desktop via a cable so that you can print and then connect to a wireless network for internet access or something similar?

If you do, then leave the wirless network alone, but set a static IP address for your copier and the LAN adapter in the laptop / desktop that are both in the same range. When you set the static IP address, the only information that you want to enter in is the IP address and the Subnet Mask. Don't enter in a gateway address or DNS server details.

If you enter in a gateway address, then the LAN adapter takes priority as wired LANs are more stable than wireless.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Thanks for the information. I am going to try your method in the weekend. What are the other possible solutions to this problem if leaving gateway address blank wont work?

Just a bit of further information on using LAN for printing and Wireless for Internet...

I was playing around with this again the other day and found that even without entering the Gateway IP, the PC tried using the LAN instead of the Wireless.

The way to fix this was to go into the Advanced Settings when in the TCP/IP v4 Properties and change the Metric from Auto to 1 on the Wireless NIC and 2 on the LAN.
