Re: AS/400 noob looking for advise
Based on the IBM website's list of compatible devices, the MP C300 driver is not built-in. I have seen the issue you described occur before with devices falling into the same category. The AS/400 Administrator is likely using an HP driver that does not provide 100% accuracy. You might recommend to the customer that they confirm IBM compatibility as part of their device testing.

Re: AS/400 noob looking for advise
Well, I got my hands on some Ricoh tutorials on how to modify some file (or "customizing source") in order to make special characters appear. Trouble is, when reaching the part of the tutorial where we need to use either the command STRSEU or other command STRPDM, the AS400 server apparently doesn't have them (customer told they don't have PDM installed).
Is there any way around this?' "But the salesman said . . ." The salesman's an asshole!'

Re: AS/400 noob looking for advise
Anyone with experience of connecting KM6030 or KM8030 to a AS400 ..
What emulation is suggested as the best one? PCL6 or PCL5 or IBM Proprinter which I would be inclined to.
Our client is using IBM printer unfortunately they can hold only certain amount of paper and yes the annoyance of replenishing is driving them crazy.
They can print using one of the Emulations however the line feed is a bit out by 1-3 mm .. I believe shifted upwards from their existing tables.
Any suggestions on What to ask the customer first in order to establish how we can help them from our side if we can at all!
PS: I know nothing about AS400 so all new to me.
Thanks for all and any input..Comment

Re: AS/400 noob looking for advise
Just replying to this thread of mine to tell that I ultimately solved my problem by letting someone more knowledgeable take the lead and take care of things, so I cannot help you on this one. Since you know as much about AS400 as me, it would be my recommendation to you, if you can, of course.
