Help on a Toshiba 2500c with Fiery option

I tried setting up a Toshiba 2500c with Fiery Controller 8e, I have setup Fiery on Ricoh machines in the past and they were very easy to setup,
just put the cables, go to user tools, Fiery and put the IP settings and everything else from the web based utility.

NOW A TOSHIBA GAVE ME A PROBLEM.

the copier is ready its got the Fiery PC attached to the back, its got a cable (looks like a SCSI cable) connected to the copier, and an Ethernet cable connected to the copier, when booting up the machine it warms up and then just says "NETWORK INITIALIZING" I went into 08 mode and did 700 to initialize it and rebooted the machine, but when the machine comes back up it says the same thig "NETWORK INITIALIZING"
the Fiery has a message on the little screen and it says "FF" when restarting the fiery it goes to 75 but after a while it goes back to "FF" and it just stays there.

I disconnected the Fiery from the Copier and restarted the machine, the network initializing message goes away and i am able to put an IP address on the copier the regular way but not if the fiery is plugged in.

I don't know whats wrong I really don't know much about fiery and I this is the first Toshiba that they ask me to setup.

I would really appreciate if someone can help me with this.

Pull the cover off the fiery and pull the cmos battery. Then short the terminal of the battery socket to clear the cmos chip. Put the battery back in, reconnect the fiery and power up rerun the 08-700 code. Usually the machine is turned on and off to quickly during setup and it corrupts the cmos settings.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

I mentioned to him that I am certified on Fiery on Ricoh machines, because I am trained on their controller, he gave me some little advised, I would like to know if there is anything else I should look.

      He told me the following:

-To let the controller boot all the way until it says FF and then connect the Ethernet cable to the controller and the copier.
-To wait for the machine to get an IP address, and then to web into it.
I just would like to know if there is anything else I should do.
      Thanks in advance

The battery reset only wipes what is being held in a static state. When you reconnect and power on the cmos goes to the default settings and starts reattach to the devices that are on the main pwb. I have connected the network cable before the power was applied and not had any problems. Other than that I don't see any issues. Also the extra memory upgrade is highly recommended but not really needed. The ff code is a fiery issue not a copier issue. The only thing to remember is to let the fiery boot fully and shut it down before powering off the copier or you will see this again.
