Does anyone know of a way to print from a Ipad to a Sharp MXC402 with authentication enabled. We have a customer that inquired about if its able to. I have not been able to find anything in app store. Does anybody have any ideas?

[QUOTE=mojorolla;310224]Sharpdesk Mobile can do this. If you are using authentication, there is a workaround found here:
Sharpdesk Mobile printing & scanning for iPhone and iPad

Thanks that may work in a pinch, as any body not using accct code will still print. Problem would be in charge back as to who did what. I talked to my DSS at Sharp and he said sharp is working on adding authentication into Sharpdesk Mobile. It shouldnt be to long as Konica Minolta has it.Comment

Yeah I see this with the Kyocera mobile app...it's rather limited in things...the Konica one is quite nice...my will issue with this is that the ipad/iphone was never really developed with printing in mind and Apple hasn't really put a lot of effort into it...they are leaving it up to the machine manufacturers....customers think they can just easily go and print anything they want from the mobile app not realizing that you have to get the document into the app in a certain format to print it or you might be able to print from your email app but it is rather limited...when a customer asks me about these mobile apps and such I'll point them in the direction of it and any documentation for it and say "Good Luck" I don't support mobile apps...."In a cruel and evil world, being cynical can allow you to get some entertainment out of it."

Faster, cheaper, and easier to just buy an Air Printer - it's exactly what they're designed for.
It's a whole lot less headache, too.“I think you should treat good friends like a fine wine. That’s why I keep mine locked up in the basement.” - Tim HawkinsComment
