Konica c640 & IC409 on separate Ethernet cables.

Then to "Obtain IP for Engine" but this setting does not exist!!!

I have the print drivers (PCL and PS) printing successfully to xxx.126; however since this connection change, basic operations such as printing to thick 3 (out of any tray) will NOT (192.168.1.126) that now no longer works--odd
Also, I am now unable to connect directly (X3eTY-543C)
    This is so Strange!!!
This is probably one of the more frustrating things I have gone through, because it seems so simple, but completely whimsical at the same time.

I just realized that I didn't really ask anything...
I guess I am curious to see if anyone has had this issue.
Or knows why this is happening (or perhaps I am doing something wrong).

    Thanks

on the controller run the setup and deselect the grab ip for copier setting. If it is grabbing it then you have 2 machines with the same ip and that will cause headaches.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

Thanks for the reply Mr Spock

I just double checked all the settings, but I do not see any indication of any setting like Obtain IP for Engine, or any variation of that.
I now figure that the direct-print domain option was reset when I enabled or disabled the DHCP option--so I think I sorted that out.

I found another short manual that I forgot I had and I attached some picts of it.
It looks like I might need to start searching around for more patches (again).

        Thanks

If you print the config sheet from the fiery check page 2 for the wording that it uses.
I am not in front to be specific.

              Thanks for the replies.
Unfortunately, I have a general meltdown with this controller and MFP....so I never did get a chance to find this ellusive setting.
Here is my current situation (makes this post seem entirely insignificant)

Wow, I just realized (when my email notified me that I responded to my own thread) that I typed c640 and not c650 in the title! I really need to start paying more attention to my titles that is the second time I have done this...lol

                  HTML Code:
                  New IP address Setup option
The new Setup option Obtain IP for Engine allows administrators to prevent the
Fiery X3eTY from obtaining the second IP address in cases when a separate network cable is
connected to the copier/printer. In this case, the copier/printer obtains its own IP address and
does not need the Fiery X3eTY to obtain one for it. To disable this setting, go to Network
Setup > Protocol Setup > IPv4 Setup > Ethernet Setup and select No for Obtain IP for
                  Engine.
Now I don't have to worry about buying new glasses
