I need some assistance as I am getting none at all from Ricoh. Microsoft Office 365 is a cloud based version of Office 2010. Among the standard Word-Excel-etc.. is a Hosted Exchange Server we send/receive email. I know Office 365 requires SSL/TLS to communicate with the Ricoh. Ricoh is telling me that none of their machines support TLS yet in the web based interface to the machine itself there are settings for SSL/TLS including installation of certificates. In fact, when I ordered this machine it was to replace the MP5000 which did not have SSL/TLS support. When I ordered the new machine from Ricoh it was with the requirement it support SSL/TLS specifically for Office 365. Sales vs. Support of course! Has anyone successfully been able to scan and email to the Microsoft 365 environment WITHOUT an on site server? Microsoft has provided the SMTP settings with servername, port and encryption method (TLS). I cannot ping it but I can Telnet to it.

Re: Microsoft Office 365 - Ricoh Scan to Email
The certificates and importing in the web interface are for configuring the internal web pages for HTTPS. Several companies I've helped to support have used their own certificates to validate the machines as part of their environment and to keep passwords and such from being transmitted in plain text to the machine. -

So the SSL/TLS configuration has nothing to do with emailing from the scanner? Are you aware of any solution available that would provide the required TLS support to do so?Comment

Re: Microsoft Office 365 - Ricoh Scan to Email
Use this document. It stops the requirement of having to use TLS with Exchange for certain IP addresses.
Email with Exchange 2010.pdf
This also goes for On-Premisis Exchange servers and despite the title (I couldn't be bothered changing it) it will also work with Exchange 2007.
Exchange 2007 and up requires authentication along with the use of TLS to make a connection to the Exchange Default Recieve Connectors. The document describes the process of adding a new Recieve Connector with allows the copiers to connect with out using authentication or requiring TLS.Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.Comment

Re: Microsoft Office 365 - Ricoh Scan to Email
You have to do a utility update called eCopy ShareScan v5 and the update is found on the Ricoh's services and solutions page.Comment
