    RICOH AFICIO 220/270 - how to scan to folder?

    Is it possible to use scan to folder on this machine. I have upgraded all the firmwares and added extra memory to the machine but it seems that I tried everything I cannot get to scan to folder using SMB.

    OS: Windows 7 32bits
    Symptoms: I can print to it using the os fine but I cannot scan to folder.

      This (very old) machine can not scan to SMB. You can try Scan Router Software, but support ended years ago.

              If I remember, the very few of these machines that were set up for scanning had an additional NIB. It literally had two controllers, one for printing, one for scanning. It wasn't until the 1027 and the g/w controllers that these machines started having unified controller architecture.

                      You might get away with using TWAIN, but I can't say for sure.

                              It will, if you are that set on trying to make this completely outdated and obsolete system work. Search the forum. I have personally addressed the configuration of Scanrouter on Windows 7 on several occasions.
                              As Ollie said, a separate NIC card is required for scanning. You have that right?
