    Mita 4530 Scan File Wrong

On a Mita 4530, when it scans, the file name has odd characters in it, such as ~ and :. It won't allow it to go to file folder or e-mail scan.
What is going on? When named the sending file default, but goes back to this.

    Thanks,
    tva

Don't know the Mita. But, most units I work on use a base name and append an incrementing number on the end of the file name or use a name/date structure. If the file name has a number appended to the end of the 'garbage' then you probably have something similar.

Is there a 'scan' default settings area on your machine? Try changing that to a different and simple name. Failing that, you may have a corrupted memory that contains the default base file name.

      Scan Default

      Thanks,
I did check the default name and changed it to a couple different names, all the same. I didn't try a memory clear tho, afraid to wipe out other things.
      Thanks again,

        Mita 4530

Does anyone have a manual (manuals) for this machine. It is with the scanning part but anything would help.

        Thanks
