    How to change ftp port on a Sharp arm series and mx series?

    Hi I got a client who changed his port on his ftp server because a hacker got threw so i need to change the port on the sharp copiers.. But I looked in the web interface and nowhere to be find.


    Anyone got a clue?

    I am not sure. But you can set a rule either on the FTP server or firewall or (even better) both to only allow communication for the standard port for that one IP address.

    You might also try putting a : portnumber after the IP address. For instance if the port was changed to 50 you could make it 192.168.1.23:50

      I already tried putting the port behind the ip adress but no avail. Sharp doesnt recognize the format. Il try changing settings on the firewall

        On the arm series machines you can find port options under network setup and security when you log in as admin. On the mx series machine it is under security settings and port control.

        I have never adjusted this option myself so let us know if it works for what you are trying to set up.
