Odd Scanning issue ( Ricoh MPc3500)

I have a bank with 6 branches that all run MPc3500's. All the machines scan to a "Loan apps Folder" on the server at the main branch via SMB. For some odd reason 2 of the branches have trouble with connecting to the folders after a few weeks or so. All the other branches scan to the same folders using the same rights and have no problems.

The on staff IT pro said he noticed when the scans "drop off" he can not view them via the smart device monitor for admin but can still view them via web image monitor and can ping the device. I'm stumped. We have swapped one of them to trouble shoot and the new machine still had the same issues.

All firmware is current. I tripled checked the IP, DNS, Subnet, ect.......Could this be a WAN issue? Firewall?

    Thanks

Definitely sounds like a network issue. Have the IT guy compare the firewall rules for the branches that work with the ones that don't, there may be a difference in something there.

Are all of the branches using the same subnet for their IP addresses?

Also check the web interface for the machines that aren't working. The logs may show where the connection is being broken.

Disconnect all machines from the network and connect only one that does not connect and try it out. If you cannot get it to work try a data capture.

      Hope this helps.
