    scan to ftp with ricoh mpc2051

    dear all

    My customer need scan to FTP function with RICOH MPC2051. I use KONIC MINOLTA'S FTP Utility tool to establish a ftp-server on client computer(see the

    attachmant ) . I try telnet <IP> 21 it's ok .use browser ftp://IP ,ok . IN MPC2501 address book see the attached file .when i try connection test it always

    pop up " connection with PC has failed Check the setting" I don't know where am i wrong . Any advice i will be appreciated


    PS : If i don't input path tab in addressbook ,connection test is ok, but scan is failed

    "d:\scan/zhangming" is not a correct FTP path format. On the second picture your root directory is specified as D:\scan, so in the web manager, in Path, you need to just set zhangming. If that folder doesn't exist, then you will need to create it first.

        I followed your instruction ,First create subfold "zhangming" in scanfold ,set path to zhangming. test connection is ok ,but scan is still failed.

          I know this may be basic advice, and you probably have already tried this, but make sure no firewall is blocking port 21 on the destination machine.

            Also, I'm not familiar with the tool you used to set up a ftp server, but a good one for Windows that I like is Filezilla. If this is a Linux machine being used for the server, I like ProFTP as a ftp server. Both of these FTP servers are easy to set up and configure. As long as you open the port up in the firewall, you should have no problem with connecting to them for the scan.
