Sharp MX-3500 cannot print or display web page but can ping

Interesting problem cannot print or access our sharp mx-3500 on the network but can ping it and get a succesfull response.
Have reset the nic, changed cable, patch & switch ports , disconnected from network and pinged with no response but when reconnected network cable it pings so no duplicate IP address.
One minute it was working the next it just stopped anyone had a similar scenario? (Please read what I've done previously for fault finding before responding) Possible printer board failure?

Try connecting a PC or laptop directly to the copier with a crossover cable. If you can access it, then it is a network fault. If you still can't, then it might be a faulty NIC.

I am not sure if this is your problem or not.. But I have had, on occasion, where a sharp machine of this model and some close to it, would all of a sudden go "offline" and not print anymore (not sure about not being able to access the web interface page or not as i did not try it at the time)..

There was a maintenance message popped up on the machine display. Best I can tell, certain maintenance messages will render the machine "offline" when they come up, which prohibits you from being able to send print jobs to the machine.. This was due to the fact that SNMP was enabled on the printer port.. I was able to get the machine back "online" and printing by disabling the SNMP function on the driver..

      To do this :
      • Go to your printers & faxes menu on PC
      • Right click on the Sharp printer driver icon
      • Select "Properties"
      • Select the "Ports" tab
      • Select the port that is reserved for your printer
      • Select "Configure Port"
      • Uncheck the box labeled "SNMP Status Enabled"
      • Click "OK" and return back to your printers & faxes menu to ensure a "ready" state and try to print a test page.

As I said earlier.. Not sure if this is why you are not able to print to the machine, but it may be worth a shot..
      Hope it helps.. Good Luck

Cheers guys for your input - turned out to be duplicate IP address on the network, the Device must be a laptop or smartphone have now reserved the copiers address in the dhcp reservation table and the problem hasn't occurred since.
