    Hybrid Ricoh Deployment

Any help with this situation will be gratefully received.

Network infrastructure is Windows 2008R2 based network, with1x print server.
Printing is managed via PaperCut NG, and this is to stay asNG.

I want to configure the Copiers (Ricoh MP301SP, MP-C305SP,MP-C3002SPF, 52 devices in total) to allow ANY printing sent from the Windows print server, but restrict scanning and copying by windows security group at the device.
If a user want to copy or scan, they will login to thecopier using network short username and password, and depending on theirsecurity group, be able to scan to their email and/or copy.

Is this possible?? Iam quite new to Ricoh devices, and my eyes are going fuzzy trawling all thevarious versions of their manuals and help guides.

    Many thanks.

The short answer is yes, you can limit specific applications or functions on the copier by AD authentication. The General Settings Guide for any of these machines, as well as the Scanner Guide should help you set up what you're looking for. The setup for each machine will pretty much be identical, though newer machines like the MP301 may have a slightly different menu (I haven't seen any of these yet so I can't say for sure)...
