    MP C3000 print fom ipad2

I found some apps that will print. My problem is a customer is tracking prints for there employees. I need to be able to enter there code on ipad so they can still track usage.

Completely lock out printing on the copier's User Authentication and have them download Smart Device Print, they will need to enter a user code to print from any device, and according to the SDP website, it includes user authentication.

Printing directly from the IOS device to the MP C3000 using Airprint alone is not possible if user authentication is enabled.

This can be achieved using the Smart Device Print app which is available as a free download currently.
The Smart Device Print App user manual can be found here.

thanks for your help it works. I have one question. When print in color everything looks good but when i do it in b/w is kind of wash out or light. Try looking at settings on app set to high quality but still washout. Do you have any suggestion how to resolve b/w printing problem. again Thanks for your help.

Seems more like an issue with the MFD than the Smart Device Print App. I would start with an ACC on the MFD first, the testing the prints again and if possible trying the same print job to another device.

Thanks for the help. the app works and if you use the copier they support it works perfectly. There are some limitation. If you try to open an email or a app and it doesn't have open in icon will not print.

I haven't had a chance to play with Smart Device Print yet. Do you still need the Post Script option on the copier to print from an iPad?

              Thanks,

                Thanks,
If you are rendering the print job on a Windows PC using Airprint for Windows, then you won't need PS. If you are rendering on a Mac using handyPrint (or AirPrint if you have an older version of OSX) then most likely, although I haven't had a need to.
