RISORINC Network Card loses connection after 5 mins?

Hello, I have a RISO RP 3700 and I think my RISORINC Network Interface Card might going bad. Here is what happens, when I start up my computer and then I turn on my RISO machine and the printer pops up in the RISO-Admin software and everything works great for about 5 mins. I can send files to the printer and it will process the data but then after about 5 mins after booting everything up the printer just disappears from the RISO-Admin list and when I search for printers on the network nothing shows up. When I open the RISO-Monitor software it says "Acquiring Status Data..." and when it can't find the printer it says "Communication Error...Check cables...".

Has anyone ever experienced this before?

Just to reiterate everything works great on initial boot up but then after about 5 mins the printer seems to disappear off the network. I've tried the setup on 2 different computer and with multiple ethernet cables with the same result.

    Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

I would be helpful to know more info on the network it self, but other than that if the card is believed to be good it could be a loop in the network. IP on copiers will stop functioning after about three to five min and drop of the network if it keeps basically talking to itself. I would take system of network use crossover cable and static ip with laptop and see what happens.

      Hey Jac,

Thanks for you response. Here is my network setup, I have an older DELL laptop running Windows XP networked to the printer (why am I using an old windows? because the RISO Print Utility software doesn't support my Mac OSX). I have that dell connect to a Linksys Ethernet Cable router. The printer is then connect to the router via the RISORINC Net-B card. Once the network was setup, I installed the RISO Utility Software from RISO.com. Then setup the printer using the instructions here under "Installing the Printer Driver <Windows NT4.0/2000/XP>": RISO Download CenterI would take system of network use crossover cable and static ip with laptop and see what happens." but I;m not sure I follow how to do this. Any more elaboration is greatly apprecaited.

Thanks again! This is just such an annoying issue because I have to restart my printer anytime I want to send files.
