Can not connect my Canon IR2270 to my Laptop.

Dear Sir,
I can not connect my Canon IR2270 to my Laptop. You may said i don't know how to connect.I have installed the drivers. But When I Connect Canon IR2270 to My Laptop(Windows7 32bit) With LAN cable it shows nothing. Please Help Me What To Do??
I Have My Project and needs a lot of printings .... please help me.

Give more information; is the machine connected to a network environment or not? If not, make your life easy, connect the two devices using a USB cable, install UFRII LT driver in your laptop and print. Alternatively you could use a ethernet 'crossover cable' to connect and print; in this case you will need to give both devices separate IP Addresses but within the same segment.

Is your Boot rom "N" or "P" version?

You need a crossover cable to connect it directly without a switch or hub in-between the devices. Make sure the ip addresses of the laptop and copier are in the same subnet, not the same ip address. Something like 192.168.1.10 for the copier and 192.168.1.20 for the laptop, then add the printer via standard tcpip port.
