MP 5000 Stall after Programming Scan Destination(SMB)

    hope you all doing great

I have this strange problem setting up Scan to Folder. It will send docs to destination by Manually interning the path but when i try to send after programing the same destination it will get stall with SC997 after few minutes.

have tried different folders and destination with same result.

    Firmware versions are:

    system/copy 1.06
    WebSystem 1.54
    Scanner 1.25
    NIB 7.17

Thanks a bunch and your help is much appreciated.

There were some firmware issues with that caused this. The fix is to update the system firmware to 1.14 or higher, and the scanner to 1.23 or higher. Unfortunately, as an independent I don't have access to the firmware.

First of All i really apologize for not posting the UPDATE....

But Firmware did not fix that issue.. It was a referb Machine and by default the File Type was Selected as (Multi TIFF) but when I changed it to( Single TIFF) or PDF it worked and costumer was happy with it.

Give it a try and let me know..

1:Flash the Firmware Make sure you have the Latest version downloaded from My Ricoh.(System/Copy,Engine,Scanner,Printer,Network,WebUpload) etc.

              2:Try formatting the HD.

3:Reset,Replace or Swap the Memory DIMM's.

I'm Sure that will sort it out..

              Regard's!
