    Canon IR Advance 6075

I've got the copier printing from the desktops, and using the generic UFR driver, Thank you guys for that. Now I am trying to scan documents and it wont do that. Is there anything specific I should know to be able to scan documents to a folder on the desktop? Or am I doing something wrong regarding the scanning.

to have your machine scanning to a computer your best bet is for the first time take with you an IT guy (someone who knows about computers and networks specially), because there are many different variable's at play there, fist you need to share a folder on the PC and that varies according to the system itself from XP to vista to win7 to win8 and 8.1, then you also need to configure the access to the pc on the system (on the firewall) and that also varies according to the system itself and finally on the machine side access the computer on the user interface and that's where you will see if all the rest was done right, according to the network it could also have other aspect's to take in consideration, from system policies to AD policies to user accounts type and passwords or not, long story short unless your a fish in the water in computer systems and network take with you an IT tech that explains to you what is going on, hope it helps

A Canon is one of the easier makes to set up scanning on due to the "browse" function.

In simple terms , confirm ALL your network details are correct for the network you are on, share out a folder and then browse for that folder from the Canon. As easy as it gets

Thier error code scheme is crap though when troubleshooting. With Konica minolta at least I get errors that are easy to decipher such as server connection error, folder not found, login error and ect. With canon you get a three digit number that sometimes is not clear to what the issue is.
