    best tech smartphone for connectivity?

    1. for quick reading/research service manuals/PDFs ?
    2. quick connection to MFP to change SMTP settings/ backup address books etc ?

or is there such a smartphone with ethernet capability?
is there no replacement for a trusty Windows laptop?

Happy New Year all you techs!

Nothing that I know of. A netbook running Windows 7 would be the best thing to use, ethernet port, decent size screen etc. Only down side is, no CD drive.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

      Agree with above.

Ethernet port is what makes the laptop (netbook) invaluable in the field.

But if you just want pdfs a tablet will serve you better than a smart phone (although you should have a smart phone for a million other reasons)
