    Fiery E-5000 SMB Scanning

Has anybody got this to work? I have worked for several hours trying to get one to work, recently, only to give up to use a Mailbox and Remote Scan.

I swear I input all the info correct and I never got it to work. In the packet captures I took, no matter what, I got a error of "Bad_Network_Name".

Anyone else have any luck with this "undocumented" feature?

The first law states that energy is conserved: The change in the internal energy is equal to the amount added by heating minus the amount lost by doing work on the environment.

U12 I've onlygot 1 of these but we did get smb to work on Xp. It was a simple enviroment and several months back, I'llchaeckfor anything I doc'ed on it. I just had a bout with the E7000 smb and ftp and email for a customer that had the unit for close to 2 tears. Not the best alternative for the archive scanning they want to do.

P.S. I haven't been there since the install.

Can you submit some screenshots and a quick packet capture of it? Using LDAP or AD to access the SMB share? perhaps the DNS/WINS entries are not correct therfore can't resolve the server name.
