I have been dealing with a very odd issue. A customer has a Bizhub C554e that is in a combined pc/Mac environment. The issue lies when a particular Mac user sends a 11x17 tabloid job (pdf or something from within Adobe CS5) to print. That job prints fine, but any subsequent prints from any pc result in blank pages. Attempting to print a config page from the copier also results in a blank output.
The only way to fix the issue is to either reboot the copier, or, and this is the mystifying part, have another Mac user send a print job to the copier. Then, all printing resumes as normal.
I work for a company that is Pro-Tech certified, and I have an open ticket with KMBS right now that is has been escalated for a DSM to come out to the copier. We have attempted EVERYTHING KMBS has suggested, from firmware to MFP boards. Same result. The customer has had their Mac person come out and update everything on the Mac, from the OS to the Adobe CS5. We have tried different types of print drivers, older and and newer, with the same results. Their Mac person has even reset the CUPS printing system, but the same thing occurs.
So far, no one at KMBS has ever heard of this issue, I have searched everywhere on the net, looking for a similar situation or solution, of which I have found none.
If anyone can shed some light on this, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!
