Re: Ricoh mp 2550B web Monitior not working
The MP 2550B is a basic copy only machine. The connector is there for a network cable but the firmware is not. It can be upgraded to print/scan by adding the Printer Scanner Unit EDP 414401. There is also a Scanner Option and a RPCS Print Option. If it has had one of these options installed, then check SP 5985 and 5885. To tell if it has one of the options, check if the print and/or scan button is on the operation panel and works. -

Re: Ricoh mp 2550B web Monitior not working
Could be a couple of things:
1. Try the secure version of the web page. If it came from a government office, a non-SSL web server like this would get flagged as a potential vulnerability.
2. Check the in depth security settings in User Tools: if you push the machine up to Level 2 I think the web server is deactivated.
3. make sure there isn't something goofy in place like a subnet or firewall that blocks direct access to machines registered as printers, or other than regular computers. I had a customer's network engineer get a little too cute lately and segment off everything by function.Comment
