    Installation Scan Rounter V2 Lite in Window 8 64bit

    Hi !

    Did anybody had try to use Scan Router V2 Lite and install in Window 8 64bit?

    Because my customer using Ricoh 1027 copier and require to install the Scanner Function in Window 8.

      I think they stopped support for scan router lite at windows xp

              There was no x64 version of ScanRouter. There was a 64-bit version of XP, but it was really just a modified version of Server 2003 more than it was a true client OS. It was the red-headed stepchild of Microsoft operating systems.

                      Why not just use scan to FTP or scan to email? Both are easy to setup, FTP the easiest.

                          For a workaround you could no doubt get Scanrouter Lite running from within a VMware virtual machine.

                          That's above and beyond though, personally I would use the opportunity to force the upgrade.

                              The 1027 didn't support FTP or email. As for scanrouter after XP SP3 it was all bad, very bad memories...................

                              The 1027 is over 10 years old now, time for something a little more current.................

                                      Don't you just hate it when customers upgrade their PCs and OSes to the latest and greatest, then expect us to pick up the slack when it comes their MFPs and associated software?

                                      All at very little or no cost to them, of course....
