Equatrac shortcuts

I recently finished fixing a misfeed problem on a HP mfp, and the users asked for some help with sending emails from their machine. The machine had Equatrac (sorry, not sure if I spelled that correctly) installed, and the users asked me if there was a way they could just press one button on the control panel to send emails rather than enter a user name and password every time they wanted to send emails from the machine. They said they had heard there was.
As I've never seen anything like that, I told them no.
Still, their request seemed to be somewhat at odds with the purpose of Equatrac from the little that I know about it.
Was I right to think that, or am I a dummy?

I don't think there is a way to do that.

What I would do, though, is refer them to whoever installed and configured it, and let them have the conversation with the customer.

Could they have been refering to a single sign on (SSO) solution? I know that's why users don't always have to logon to send emails via Udocx from HP machines.

Anyway, they are resuming talks with people who know more about this than I do.
