    CF3102 Fiery X3e+ Scanner problems

    Hello,
My first post here. I am trying to get my scanner to work on my Windows 2000 networked Minolta CF3102

Have been trying everything I know to get it to work. Manuals do not match my screens on the panel or pagescope.
    1.
How do I set the destination so I can scan to a file (that I can access on my computer)

    2.
I installed the twain driver and am having problems:
When Importing from Photoshop, I get a dialog box :
    Select device 0.0.0.0
I enter the IP for the scanner and get scanner not found
I can ping the ip and get a reply

    Any Suggestion appreciated.

There is an FTP utility that you can DL from the Minolta site. It seems to work best on most networks with very little fuss. I've not had much luck or experience with the twain driver and I don't think SMB is an option.
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.
Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.
Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.

      FTP scan setup

I searched the minolta site for a ftp utility. It finally led me to Filezilla.

      I installed Filezilla ftp server.

      1.
Filezilla wants me to connect to a server before I do anything else.
Is the server my workstation (127.0.0.1) or is it the fiery (192.168.1.3)?
      I assume I should use port 9100.

      2.
The manual for the fiery says to register the ftp server using pagescope. My version of pagesope does not have a way to register ftp under the network tab. It does have a LDAP setting page, How can I register the ftp server?

          Thanks cobi
Got the utility, Uninstalled filezilla, Installed new ftp utility, The ftp Utility settings :
          TCP port 21
          Root folder e:\7
          FTP User anonymous

The ftp utility seems to work fine. From the command window on any workstation in my network, I can put a file into the root folder.

My problem now is registering the ftp on the fiery controller. This is what I am seeing:

On WebTools, (if I do not log-in), the Scan tab , One Touch Key Registration shows Index 1 thru Index 7 and Group

          -select Index 1
-click in first cell under index 1 at bottom of screen
-Set Destination to Scan to FTP Server
          -click next
Scan to FTP Server screen requires this info:
          Destination Name (I tried "wjb")
IP Address ( I entered IP of the workstation running ftp utility)
User name (I use "anonymous" as set in ftp settings)
Password (I use "pass" as set in ftp settings)
Directory (I use "e:\7" as set in ftp settings)
          Use Proxy (No)
Notification Address (I do not know what to put here I tried "wjb" the ip address)

          -click Create
the screen returns to the One-Touch Key Registration and nothing has changed.

I try to scan on the CF3102, and select index1, It tells me "address has not been typed" (does not matter if mode is email or internet)

I tried all of the above with the TCP port set to 9100, and got same result.

          Am I missing something?

If I log-in on the pagescope light (webtools) I cannot get to the screen to set the index1 as above, it will only let me delete the one touch keys.

If you have a Fiery Controller, you must install the Fiery Remote Scan to be able to do a Twain scan.

It sounds like you aren't hitting ok at some point to accept the scanning shortcut on the Fiery. I'll try to double check my set up procedures this week and get back to you.
