Ricoh MP201 - How do I search LDAP server on device?

Hi all,

I have successfully setup the LDAP server and checked its connectivity, turned on LDAP searches.

When I go to the device and click Destination List and select LDAP server it won't actually let me search? (search button is greyed out)

What do I need to do to get the search button active?

Edit - I have gotten this working now but the user interface for searching LDAP is terrible!

I have to go to Destination Lists\LDAP Server\Advanced\Name\enter whatever name I am searching for\Back\Search and only then it will go and find the users details and email address.

Is there any way to simplify this process as nobody is going to use it if its that difficult?

Have you changed the search option from "Address Book" to your LDAP server? UT> Scanner> Default Search

LDAP on a 201 with is just plain painful for the user with that small display.

I set one up like that some time ago. After 2 weeks of user frustration, we ended up creating one touch buttons for the frequent users. Not perfect, but far easier to use.
