Hi,it sounds like you may have the fiber optics cables installed in the wrong locations.

You can use the original control boards without a problem,and if you used the boards from a kit,most likely you'll need to re-flash the firmware.But if I were you,I'd re-install the original boards and double check the fibre optic routing to the printlink and the machine itself.
