Canon c7055 fax with VOIP?

Getting ready to place a used Canon IRA-c7055 and the customer is wanting to fax using VOIP. I did a search on these forums and found that there are a lot of problems with it across all manufacturers but most of the posts were a few years old. I'm hoping the newer advanced series might be able to run it better.

Will the c7055 play nice with VOIP and would it need any special options/accessories to do so?

As they are going to use VOIP for faxing, it is extremely important to insure that their VOIP system is entirely standards based.
Otherwise, stupid and wrong things will surely follow.

Thanks. I'll make sure the customer knows their VOIP needs to meet industry standards for faxing.
