    OKI ES5462

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help me out. I have an OKI ES5462 which keeps dropping off the network. We have done basic network checks, replaced the network cable, assigned a new IP, and updated the print driver with no joy. Has anyone come across this before or have any tips on how to get it staying on the network. We've had this issue with two of these models in different premises in the last month.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Many thanks

If you have another printer available, try connecting another printer to the network jack the OKI currently using. If the other printer has the same problem, then the network switch is going bad.

The other thing would be an I conflict. I had a county water agency office where this was happening. I got lucky and was there when it was happening. disconnected the MFP and was still able to ping the IP address. Turned to be that the IP address the new IT people gave was part of the address range used by a VPN that they didn't about. When one of the other offices connected in over the VPN, a conflict would happen.

Thanks for that Slimslob. Exactly what you said, changed the IP of the device and it hasn't dropped off since. Probably something on the network that they use temporarily. Thanks again
