re-installing system software on imagepass S2

    Hi to you all!

i have an issue with an imagepass S2, i'm trying to re-install the system software, the unit was on and the power went off and on again for about 10 times, so at this time the screen displays nothing. i don't remember if that imagepass is suppose to boot
directly from the software cd or if i have to hit some keys before turning the unit on. so if someone could give me the procedure, i would be very very very happy.

    thanks

on mine i put the first disc in the cd tray and turned the imagepass off.

then leave it in and turn the imagepass on.

it should boot from the disc and load.

it will direct you to install the second disc when ready.

you will have to reconfigure the server ip address and all settings when done loading.

(its handy to have the previous server configuration pages to do this. )

you do that from the screen using the up down and enter buttons.

      thanks Tack,

i have already tried to get the imagepass to boot from the cd, but it doesn't work, i have another one in the shop, and if i swap the defect hard drive in the working imagepass the 2nd one doesn't boot either, so i don't know if it would be possible to make a ghost from the working hard drive and to download it in the non-working unit. do you think it may work?

      thanks again

i may be mistaken but make sure the copier is connected and on when you try to load the disk.

your ghost image should also work.

i did the same with a fiery H1

there is a fiery clone tool available to download from the fiery site.

i can get the link for you tomorrow if you cant find it.
