    Postfix help

    Hi all,

I'm after some help with postfix, well I think the problem is there

Whats happening is for no apparent reason I have two KMC252 machines at customers which have been scanning to email for some time with out problems but now they get a "Forward TX error". There has been no changes to any setup at both locations and as far as I know no body else is having a problem. I can see other customers emailing and even a second machine at one of the location with an error working fine. When I check my mail.log for postfix I see this

    Mar 3 10:26:42 mail postfix/smtpd[28704]: connect from host81-136-167-128.in-addr.btopenworld.com[81.136.167.128]
Mar 3 10:26:42 mail postfix/smtpd[28704]: lost connection after CONNECT from host81-136-167-128.in-addr.btopenworld.com[81.136.167.128]
    Mar 3 10:26:42 mail postfix/smtpd[28704]: disconnect from host81-136-167-128.in-addr.btopenworld.com[81.136.167.128]

This is the log for the second machine dropping the connection but when the other machine connects from same location with same ip address it works fine.

    Any ideas?

    Paul.

    Re: Postfix help

    For info.

after spending lots of time trying to work this out thinking it maybe a server issue but not knowing why as all seemed fine I went to the customer this morning with the 2 machines. Both machines were configured the same as I would expect but one wasn't working, so after changing a few settings and putting them back along with things like network cable I completely reset the machine and set it all back up and just like magic it stared working very strange but the customer is happy = I'm happy.

    Paul.
