    is there show scA icon or not ? in N series you can connect 1st scanner with copier

      Oops, I thought this machine was capable of SMB scanning. It looks like you need to use Button Manager, SC-Scan A, or Sharpdesk to do any "push" scanning.

      So ignore my whole post below.

      My guess is that the Windows 8 computer either has SMBv1 disabled or the protocol negotiation is being forced to NTLMv2, while the copier is only capable of NTLM or LM.

      To check the status of SMBv1, try this: How to enable and disable SMBv1, SMBv2, and SMBv3 in Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012

      To check the negotiation protocol, check out this link: https://richardkok.wordpress.com/201...s-environment/

      Near the bottom of the link, it will show the local security policy and/or registry key that controls the behavior. You basically want the Windows 8 PC (which is acting like a server in this scenario) to send/accept NTLM or LM.

      This is one possibility. You'd have to wireshark the connection to see what's going on.
