Yosif1- Would that be one account per mfp or one account?

I have use gmx before in the past a couple times and I don't know there terms are but just be careful with using one account for many copiers.

Some servers may have a limit of outgoing emails per period of time. Also if something ever happens to that one account then many copiers will fail all at once. If individual accounts are used then only the copier(s) using that account will fail.
We had this one gmail account we used for many copiers for many customers. Several techs knew the password. Somehow a customer got a hold of that password one day and changed it. and we had a large amount of calls come in complaining their scanning doesn't work. So we try now to setup a new account for each customer.

In regards to stunnel, there are a couple of considerations to using it.

            1. Many software firewalls are configured to block anything that isn't used for normal web browsing traffic. You may have to make an exception for port 25 incoming (or whatever port you use)

            2. In some cases you will have to change the port that stunnel listens on, as 25 may already be taken by another service. You will get an error when stunnel loads the config file if this is the case.

            3. Make sure that once you have got stunnel up and running that you execute the 'Stunnel service install' shortcut, this will install Stunnel as a service (duh!) which means it starts with Windows.

            4. Make sure the customer understands that if the PC is turned off - no scanning!

Scan to email is the biggest pain in the butt I hate how people just expect that you enter a email and it just works, I soooo wish that was the case ><...

Personally I try not to create any accounts or the like for people because you end up taking responsibility for something that isnt yours to take responsibility for. THEY create the email then you show them where the info goes...

If it doesnt support ssl/tls then basically unless they are willing to setup a relay for you to use I'd not go there and setup a different form of scanning.

External email servers look like the future but when youve got people scanning hundreds of pages god help us all. I can see it now.... Your machine is so slow at scanning..
