IR3035 jam duplex 010A

This jams with letter paper but will feed letterR with out jamming duplex. Jams first copy right above guide with fingers on door that swings out. Thought it was 2nd third delivery asembly (says 3 way A-2 unit on sticker) and when I tried one that was working in another machine had same problem. Pushing on big rt door I can get three sheets of paper out but will jam with 010D. I will post pictures. I had a 2270 doing this but I just left paper at letterR. Never did figure out that one either. Most of the stuff on canon web site has to do with dampers that are removed on this machine.

I would check the one way gear in the back of the 3 way. Its the big belt driven one. That can cause 010d. Something is restricting up there?

I have tech pub from Canon about this updated pad and have stopped 2 side jams with them. FC9-4659-000 10 per pack.

Thanks. We have been leaving them off for years. I swaped out the 3 way (short door on top of right door assembly-maybe called 2nd/3rd delevery assembly?) and it did not help. Something is stopping the paper but letter R runs fine so I just told them they have to run letter R in that direction. Second machine I have had do this. The other one was a 2270. The section I swaped out was used but was working ok duplex. Wish I knew what was causing it. Customer said they rarely run double sided and she was copying something for her daughter. Runs single sided all day letter no jams.

What is the meter on the machine roughly? What if you change tray designation to right side tray delivery(may need to pop out blanking plate and set OUT-TRAY to 1 in service mode) and run single sided. Does it jam?

Just had another one today same problem. IR3570 with 393k on it. I had taken the right side tray off a few months ago for jams. Jams letter duplexing but runs letter R all day duplexing no jams. I am going to replace the hindge in the three way unit on the part with the solinoid that opens up. I seem to remember a bullitan on this years ago. Still can not find part number. I will try sending it to that tray single sided but I bet it jams. I am going to try FL2-1202-000

Yes it does jam. Paper path is close to duplexing. Funny thing, I just had another one do it but it did not have 3 way unit on it. Took pads off guide on right door to fix.
