    Irc5045 duplex jams

Hi all, Im not a canon tech so dont know about this model. It jams when attempting to duplex everytime. Single copies are good. It exits the fuser then starts going into the right door reverse area then just stops. I got into service mode and it shows ps39 delay jam. Not sure of the paper path and how to test sensor or which one. Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Is the paper jam wrinkled?

jam code 010A refers to a delay jam to Reverse Sensor PS39.
add an extra spring wrap to the actuator on sensor PS39

Make sure the paper sensor roller, FB6-7002-000, is not missing.
See below and Parts Catalog Figure 812, Item 3.
When a sensor is not changing state or to verify if a sensor is changing state use of the I/O modes may be used to troubleshoot such issues.
      Check PS39 in service mode > COPIER > IO > PSENSOR > DCON > P005 bit 12.

When paper is removed from area > If P005 Bit 12 shows a 1 which > it means the sensor is blocked.
Try re-seating connectors on the Pick UP Driver PCB UN2 and cutting wire ties to PS39 .

              Well done.

I was once carrying 5 sets of these sensors.

3 require replacing usually for 010A / 010C jams in 3 way unit. Occasionally it presents itself with a jam that cant be cleared without a power off / on

They were replaced with modified ones. Which then fail after a while.

Sharp had the same issue with sensors failing , probably same manufacturer as canon.
                Thanks for the info!

Clean all rollers including registration, check the feed wheel in the paper tray.
It is installed on the machine finisher?
Control gears in fixation, the fixation of the film.
Is the leading edge of the paper is damaged?
