    Canon IC C2380i: print usb = ok - print tcp/ip = error - scan tcp/ip = ok

    Hello
    sorry for my bad english.
    My problem :
1- use IRC2380 with USB print ok
2- use irc2380 with network (tcp/ip) print = error (result "NG", communication "RAW" network journal)
3- scan with tcp/ip = ok (but only with bmp format out ???) with color-network-scangear2 driver
4- scan with USB = unknow scanner

I can ping PC->irc2380, but no ping irc2380->PC
I've tested with dhcp and fixed ip (ipv4...)

    Question :
why tcp/ip is funtionnal with scan and isn't functionnal with printer ?

    Thank you for your help

copier will not print and it cannot be pinged
go to Additional Functions > System Settings > Network Settings > TCP/IP Settings > and turn OFF Permitted Receiving MAC Address Settings

select Additional Functions > System Settings > Network Settings > TCP/IP settings > IPv4 > IP Address Range settings and set all options to Off.
In this screen there are 4 sub menus, [Reject IPv4 Address], [Permit IPv4 Address], [Reject IPv4 Address] & [Permit IPv4 Address].
Go into each one of these sub menus and set them to Off.
Next power cycle the copier and test.

    what driver using ??
    UFR II

know you why, with the scanner,it is only recorded in BMP format (while parameters are tif and jpeg) ?
        ================================================== ================================
Any time a document is scanned, through any type of scanner, it is scanned as a graphic image.
By itself, it cannot be changed or edited in any way.
Since itโ€™s a graphic, it can be resized or cropped (like a picture), however you cannot change text.

The scanned image can be sent as a TIFF, MTIFF, JPEG or PDF file depending on the imageRUNNER model.
To scan in a document and send it to an email address:
        1) Place the originals in the feeder and press the SEND button and specify the destination.
        2) Press the SEND SETTINGS and press SEND DOC. NAME to add a name to the document being sent and press OK.
        3) Press SUBJECT and enter the data to the subject line and press OK.
Note: The subject may be up to 40 characters.
        4) Press MESSAGE and enter a message body and press OK.
Note: The message body may contain as many as 140 characters.
        5) Press REPLY TO and select the reply-to-address and press OK, then press DONE.
        6) Select the file type of the image from the drop down list.
Here you may choose between TIFF, MTIFF, JPEG or PDF.

        7) Press START and the process will begin.

ok, I know that (user manual), but I'm looking for a process PC (use the microsoft windows fax/scan command)
I use sofware/driver : Canon Colour Network ScanGear2 (v2.00) for accessing the scanner.
It's probably this software the real problem.
Maybe find other software (driver) for use with windows panel ? with jpeg format available ?
          thank you for your help

            my config (printer list) :
Canon iR C2380/2550 UFR II XPS with tcp/ip port (192.168.0.12)
Canon Ir C2380i with WSD port
            Canon Ir C2380 with USB

I use the WSD version for printer, and Color Network ScanGear 2 for scan command MSwindows
(I've tested the v2.71, but no avalaible on scan MSwindows)

result scan : only bmp format

What do u mean, reset ALL_?

all u needed to do was uninstall old Scangear, & install the link I posted.

Or go to Canon Europe for French ver of Scangear

In the iR use the Ping function-
If ping is successful, then you know the machine has the ability to reach the server

If ping was unsuccessful, confirm that name resolution is working , do this by pinging
the computer name of any PC on the network.
If unable to ping computer name confirm DNS address, do an ipconfig /all on a nearby PC and confirm settings.

If the SMTP is outside of the local network, the router or domain controller may be preventing access to the internet.
Confirm this by pinging any know internet address like Error

If unsuccessful; to rule out the router> set the machine for DHCP reboot and let the machine take an address from the router/dhcp server.
Confirm all the other settings and test again.
If successful then you must have the IT person assign an exception for the machine in the Router Firewall or assign an isolation for the machine by
                      MAC Address.

                              hello !

I've a new problem now with my canon IRC2380i (I don't change settings)

                              Now
I can print from PC -> IRC2380i (good speed, ...)
I can send to email adress (but very slow sending and only 1 page tiff format )

                              But :
I can't send to PC repertories : message "error TCP/IP"
I can't scan from PC (with scangear2 driver) : message "scanner is OFF"

For test : I make a new address (with the 1 touch screen menu) : I use smb(windows) protocole, workgroup, etc... and I can map the server repertories, it's ok, but later I didn't use it because "error tcp/ip"

I've test with a new rj45 cable, idem
Also, I thing that my tcp/ip settings are no good !

                              Thank for your help
