    [Misc] Strange behaviour on iRAC2020i

Is it any logic behind this ?

User is scanning documents (using SEND function) and the machine scans a random number of pages and than stops.

Exp. you have to scan 30 pages. It scans 20 and than stops there. No error - nothing.

    How come ?

never mind - I think I found a pub about regarding a deformed last doc sensor issue.

    Going to check with customer.

Probably not related with setting for scan size? Memory?
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

will need a bit more information than what is provided.

when you say random, is it that when you scan 20 pages, it will scan 10 in one run and then 13 in the next? or did you only try one run?

has there been a max size configured?

what's the document being scanned into? PDF? TIFF? JPEG?

have you ensured the sensors are clean and clear?

I find that the document detection actuator wears down and the original(s) slide underneath it. I just glue a piece of shim stock to the end of it to length it(about 1 mm long)

            Sorry I forgot to update.

I did clean the PS7 just in case and also added a piece of electrical tape to the tip of the flag that goes to PS5 (If I am not wrong with the number).

            That did the trick

            cheers

              hi,

heard of something similar when using the doc feeder, the scans would do a few and just stop for no reason, no error etc, some doc feeders we have noticed do not have a reinforcement bar under the flap in the feeder, the one that you can lift to remove jams, you will see at either end 2 holes for the self tapping screws, dont know why some come with the metal reinforcement bar and some dont, but the guide / flapper will bend slightly and cause the issue, hope it helps
