Re: Canon IPF750 hardware error 03130031-2F26
You should have provided more info:
Total printout in m2 for the printer
Total printout in m2 for the actual head
Total time of the actual head in the printer.
In my opinion - most prob. it is the main board. But I don't know all the facts.
And most probably it is the head that caused the problem.
When your canon tech comes by and puts new main board - please advise him "NOT TO USE THE CURRENT HEAD"
See post "4
I made a video what it does.
I will see if i can check printout counts

I must say, you guys are great to keep me posting valuable information for me to check and try out.
Thanks a lot for that. Other forums would have given up on me.
by the way, still no responce from Canon tech.

Re: Canon IPF750 hardware error 03130031-2F26
Hi SAZ911,
Still no change.
What has been changed is the fact that i can go into service mode only when there is no paper loaded.
Before, i had also imediatly the 2F26 error.
Now, i can browse service mode.
So in short:
Normal power on:
- power on
- initialize
- printhead moves little bit above the purge unit.
- printhead moves to the left and stops halfway --> error occurs.
Power on in service mode:
- power on while holding the buttons till S appears
- printhead moves a little bit above purge unit
- printhead moves to the left and stops halfway
- displays shows "load paper"
- i can browse in service mode
- the moment i want to load the paper, i hear the fans spin and the error occurs again.
When i load a A4 paper sheet instead of the roll, the A4 moves 4mm (1/6") and then error occurs.
In all these steps, the printhead stays abouth in the middle of the printer.
Regards,
Roverius.
Hate to say it, but the more you dig in, the more likely its looking to be the main controller, any news from the Canon Tech?
Like i had said initially, 9 out of ten times its the damn Main Controller, don't know if you have noticed but almost every single error flow chart in the manual ends with "replace main controller"
Good Luck..Leave a comment:

Re: Canon IPF750 hardware error 03130031-2F26
Okay, next:
Cleaned again the cariage shaft. No lubricants added yet. Checked printhead, checked all connections....
I managed to start the printer in service mode.
All looks good, BUT, when i load the paperroll then the error occurs again.
At least i managed to enter the menu. Somehow, the error comes back the moment i want to feed the paper.
If i only could try to update the firmware. The version f.t.m. is 1.10
At least it gives me hope that i have made some progress.Leave a comment:

Re: Canon IPF750 hardware error 03130031-2F26
Thanks SAZ911
It came to my attention that nothing moved at all, even before i have taken out the printhead.
Even a small movement should be noticable, but in this case it does not.
Thats why i think there must be something broken and (maybe) could be the cause of the error.
Is there somewhere a detailed video of such a carriage? (i will search also)
Anyway, its something to look at.

Re: Canon IPF750 hardware error 03130031-2F26
Hi Roverious,
There should be some movement, it only moves up and down a very small amount, but yes it is meant to move ever so slightly. Maybe something wasn't replaced properly when the carriage assy was removed.
The liquid in your purge unit is normal, its meant to keep the head lubed up so the ink doesn't dry up and block the nozzles in the printhead.
Cheers,

Re: Canon IPF750 hardware error 03130031-2F26
I know this, i have read abouth the adjustment of the head.
But i dont see any parts moving, the handle just goes up or down.
I would understand if there is some movement of the head while adjusting the lever, but it does nothing.
Maybe there is something broken, the handle just moves idle.
Regards,
Roverius.
