    [Misc] adv 6055

Got a real doozy, went to an advanced machine for a dadf problem, that was no big issue, however....I went to check the device over and cannot open the fixing feeder tray at all. The lock handle moves, but must not be disengaging. How do I go about releasing this, I've had this before on the older image runners, but not the advance. I need to release the tray before I can see what's gone wrong. Has anyone had this issue, how did you go about releasing the tray? Thanks !

Have not had the issue but on other advance we have had bent parts (shafts) on new installs. I think when you turn the handle there is a white plastic piece that locks and unlocks at the very end of the shaft in the back. You could try and go to the back of the machine and see if you can see it. Had one fall off on a IRA8105. Have had others get loose. There is a screw holding it on you can barely reach with the drawer open. Look at figure 330 item 34 in the parts manual. I think we order that part but only replace the end. It may be loose and you only have to tighten it up.

Hi.. you can get to it by removing deck 2 tray.
Its not straight forward though however with a little patience and proding you may release the
      Main 1 bed...

Thanks for the help. I was able to release it from the front, then I've tightened up the block, which I'll replace with a new one. Thanks again.
